I took all of Paul's spices from his cupboard
and alphabetized them on the counter. Many multiples:
seven cinnamons, five cumins, four black peppers,
four chili peppers, three oreganos, three nutmegs,
two turmerics (lifetime supply!) and
several herb & spice artifacts, including a jar of
Kary's Louisiana Cajun Roux, from Ville Platte, LA.
Then I put them back (condensed)
in roughly alphabetical order, as much
as one can on lazy susans. I'm 51, and
this is the first time I've alphabetized
anything in my kitchen.
What does this mean?!

  1. Well T, if you made West African Peanut Stew that would only be enough turmeric for one season. Maybe.

  2. You can never have too much cumin, I always say!
